Ahoy mateys! I’m currently looking at possibly procuring some more pirate swag an’ weaponry. I was curious should i get a Rapier, which i know is a bit long and somewhat odd for a buccaneer, or should i go with the more standard basket hilt cutlass?

Scottish Basket-hilt Sword
Very nice sword made during the early 18th century. Blade is most likely made during the 17th c. Thick steel hilt decorated with pierce work and chiselled details.
